This was one of the first buildings in Singapore to combine off-form concrete with precast concrete as part of its design aesthetics. The building expression is a faithful example of the ’form follows function’ school of architecture. The rectilinear plan was an obvious choice to meet efficiency demands. The building was subsequently annexed with the current Comcentre.
